Rudolf Herzog (December 6, 1869 – February 3, 1943) was a German novelist, journalist, poet, and playwright. One of Germany’s bestselling authors in the early 20th century, he wrote novels centered on artists, industrial families, and German society, including Die Wiskottens (Sons of the Rhine), Das Lebenslied (The Story of Helga), and Die Stoltenkamps und ihre Frauen. His works reflected the values of Wilhelmine Germany and sold millions of copies before World War II.
